Full Moon
Full Moons are an actual thing. Well obviously- but the symptoms and impacts are also an actual thing.
I remember being a small town farm girl, on my final student teacher assignment, when I received a shock- my mentor teacher was a kook. She told me that it was full moon that week and that we needed to brace ourselves. Guys, I just about dropped the program. What the heck was this woman doing in a CATHOLIC SCHOOL no less? Jesus certainly would not want this woman recognizing natural signs of change and transformation.
Yes- I probably said it way worse, and that was my actual thought process. I don't know about it, it seems different so obviously with my thorough examination - you are the kook. Turns out - the kids did in fact do loco and we did need to brace ourselves. Most education staff will tell you that we can see these signs coming at least 3 days before the moon comes and you are going to need to hold your pearls if it is snowing that day.
The moon controls water movement - even if you think the landing is fake Amber- it controls the water. Humans are 70%ish made of water. Our brain? 73%. No shit the moon is driving us bonkers. Every single human has a mini perfect storm going on. I just picture the moon pulling the water one way and every human leaning that way and then you know water, gotta bounce back, so then everyone leans the other way a bit and repeat- or front and back or the angle possibilities is infinite really. Oops- brain bounce. So we are largely water, it makes sense that the thing that controls water has an impact on us.
Increased irritability, interesting comments that fall out of our mouths, too many poor choices with diet, booze or drugs, head aches, sleep disturbances - I stop sleeping 4 days before the moon it seems. At least I can recognize it now- sure helps so I don't kick my bed all night with restless legs. I wish there was a restless leg marathon- would destroy that. There is also bloating, energy bursts (ever just feel the need to clean or organize a room or closet? Plot it next time or write it down and send to me! We can see what is happening energy wise - why would we care? Because then we can start to plan to get the flow to work FOR us. I used to burn out all night, be an absolute emotional spillage board, miss my workout totally (because it took a minute to realize- wait I can still exercise on these days- just different times). Just an absolute system shut down. Now? I just plan to read more those nights, research or plan new recipes or ways to help people. Still tired- yes. But naps are just common here, used to be used as a weapon against me- but that's just control. Whole other posts OR 3 about how we have been sheeple and females especially have been just misrepresented, mistreated or MISs'd altogether. So making me feel bad about naps meant I didn't- which meant I STAYED weak. Lastly- menstral everything is more sensitive because our periods are the female moon cycle x100. They are powerful and beautiful.
Mentally we struggle with wider range of emotional output- which makes us more anxious, restless, which impacts our sleep quality which hits our thought quality. Also, aha! moments are on the regular for full moons as when we let our brain bounce - it can land in the best places. The big one to note - those that struggle with bipolar, schizophrenia, or borderline personality disorder- this group needs extra love. Their brains are not capable of keeping all the water in -per se-, dear Liza-there are some holes in their buckets during this time.
Spiritually the full moon is going to power up our thoughts - so the monster that you choose to feed today, will grow- and grow exponentially. Positive thoughts will manifest amazing things, negative thoughts will bring out the beast (s). This is the time to release old energy or people - I currently have a name in a piece of paper on my windowsill that I am working on releasing or detaching. Just as the moon lights up the sky- it will light up our brains and we will feel more grounded, connected to source and aware. The full moon asks us to BE - to sit, release and BE ourselves. Shed the old and BE the new.
Few things to consider:
-how many times do we label others wrongly for their beliefs as I did? Who cares what someone thinks or how they pray if it helps them and does not hurt others.
The Work:
-For the next month or 2- just write down the phases of the full moon on your calendar or on your mirror- so that you can at least go reference it for this month. Next month we will track it differently. Did interesting things happen around certain times?
-give yourself some special water- water bottle, salt, lemon, fruit or whatever you need to help make it special. Or go for a nice and special soak.
No matter what though, know that you are loved - so very, very loved. Kooks and all.
